When people hear "healthy weight loss", most imagine a strict meal plan, bans and counting every calorie. In reality, sustainable weight loss is built on something else — understanding your own diet and making small changes you can keep up for years, not weeks.
1. Don't start with a diet, start with observing
Before changing anything, write down what you eat for a week. No judgement, no guilt. Most of my clients are surprised how much energy comes from drinks, snacking and evening "finishing off the day". The record itself often brings the first natural change.
2. Don't skip protein
Protein is the most satiating nutrient and protects muscle mass during weight loss. Try to have a protein source in every main meal — eggs, cottage cheese, legumes, meat, fish or quality plant alternatives.
3. Forget forbidden foods
The stricter the ban, the bigger the craving. Work in an 80/20 mode — when 80% of your diet is quality, varied food, the remaining 20% can handle a slice of cake at a party. No guilt, no "restarting on Monday".
4. Sleep and stress matter more than you think
A sleep-deprived body feels more hunger (ghrelin) and less satiety (leptin). If you sleep 5 hours and live under stress, no meal plan will work miracles. Weight loss is a holistic project.
5. Get support
A nutrition therapist won't hand you "a paper with a meal plan" but will teach you to navigate nutrition yourself. If you want to start, book a non-binding consultation — together we'll find the path that fits you.
